Pure Stock
1) TIRES and WHEELS: 8" Track Tire Mandatory-your choice rain or
diamond tread.
2) BODY: Car must have a stock steel OEM body, with firewall and floor
pan. Steel Hood, Roof and Trunk Lid Mandatory! The trunk may be cut out. A
stock spoiler for the make and model of the car may be used. After market
plastic nose and tail pieces allowed. Cutting allowed for tire clearance.
No wedge noses pieces allowed.
3) ENGINE: Block, heads, crank, rods, pistons, intake and exhaust
manifolds must be factory stock. No grinding off of any parts, serial,
casting or firing order numbers. Headers or block huggers are permitted.
No porting or polishing of the heads, intake or exhaust. Intake must be
cast iron and have Quadra jet bolt pattern, no bowtie heads, straight plug
dart heads OK. Stock replacement pistons allowed-No racing or high
performance type pistons allowed. NO roller rockers, stud girdles, dual
valve springs, strokers, or destrokers allowed. No engine set back
allowed, engine must be in stock mounts.
4) FUEL SYSTEM: Any stock carburetor or 500 CFM maximum Gas only. No
electric or belt drive fuel pumps are allowed. A 1" maximum adapter or
spacer may be used.
5) SUSPENSION AND FRAME: Suspension must be stock front and rear. The
frame must be stock front and rear. The frame must be stock from bumper to
bumper. No tubular A-arms or trailing arms may be used. Stock spindles and
brakes only. No coil over shocks or simulated coil over shocks allowed.
Springs may be shimmed. Springs must be 5" in diameter, minimum. Stock
steering only. You may make the steering shaft from box to steering wheel.
6) TRANSMISSION AND REAR END: Stock automatic or manual transmission only.
No racing transmission, rear end, small diameter clutches, or aluminum
flywheels allowed. . Manual transmissions must have a working clutch. Ford
9" rear end may be used and it may be locked.
ANY RULE NOT COVERED IN THIS BOOK WILL BE
DECIDED BY TECHNICAL INSPECTOR. TECHNICAL INSPECTOR’S DECISION WILL BE
FINAL
